Phil Stubbs has written a large number of articles on film over the last twenty years. He has interviewed actors such as Andrew Garfield and Sanjeev Bhaskar; filmmakers such as Terry Gilliam and Richard Lester; and other award-winning individuals from the film industry such as composer George Fenton and editor Mick Audsley. He has reported on location for the last five feature films by Gilliam.

Phil wrote extensive production notes for the 2013 feature film The Zero Theorem. This document was translated into several languages and use to promote the picture around the world. Phil also conducted video interviews for The Zero Theorem, which were included as extras on the DVD/Blu-Ray release.
Phil studied Film Journalism with the British Film Institute, and was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate with Distinction.
